Global variation in postoperative mortality and complications after cancer surgery:

Was a co-author in tis multinational multi centre cohort study assessing the outcome after cancer surgery. The findings indicate that the outcomes in lower and middle income countries are poorer compared to the high income countries. It is an indictment on the post operative support services.

Our recommendations were establishment of global North-South and South-South collaborations to grow both the authors, editors and the science.
